Let’s do something different here at Talkin’ Mets Beyond the Mic. Since a few storylines are coming out of last night’s game, let’s tackle them individually.
Clay Holmes
The Pitch F/X data wasn’t as dominant as prior starts, but the eye test held up. Holmes was filthy the first three innings of the ballgame, striking out 6 in the first three innings.
Holmes did tire in the fifth, but what was impressive was the way he fought out of the baseball loaded/none out scenario. He limited the damage to one run and put a bow on the performance by striking out Byron Buxton.
